Motor Circuit breakers are used for protecting motor branch circuits from overloads, phase loss and short circuits. They can be configured in low voltage circuit breakers and magnetic motor starters.
Magnetic tripping mechanisms are designed with a solenoid (electromagnet), which will quickly disconnect in case of a short circuit or overload. They are not greatly affected by extreme environmental conditions, but are sensitive to low-overloads.
